3:58pm Monday 1st October 2012 in News By George Sargent
SOME of Dartford’s best young dancers have been selected to perform at the Royal Albert Hall for a major dance exhibition.
The 22 students, who are aged between eight and 15, are all members of the Goodman Dance Centre in Market Street, Dartford.
They are in the Sugar Free Streetdance group and will perform at the Dance Proms on November 4.
Their dances are called Juicy and Wiked.
24 other dance acts will also be dancing with ballet to ballroom, salsa to street dance and jive to jazz dance on show.
There will also be guest appearances from dancers on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing including Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.
Choreographer at Goodman Dance Centre, Louise Calier, 41, said: “For such a young group of dancers with so much personality I know the Royal Albert Hall will be a highlight of their time together.
“This event will be a lifetime experience and memory for the dancers and will be a wonderful way to end what has already been an incredible year for them.”
