GRAVESEND'S weather has been a little on the damp side compared to last year's record high temperatures.

The same day last year (October 1) was the warmest October day on record with the town sweltering in a national high of 29.9 degrees, according to the Met Office.

But Monday, October 1, 2012 has brought temperatures only half that at 15 degrees with heavy rain and winds gusting at up to 25mph.
