A MAN who was stabbed to death in Southwark has been formally identified as Shaun Chambers from Lewisham.
The 21-year-old, and another man, were found suffering from stab wounds in Thurlow Street, at the junction of Beaconsfield Road, on the Aylesbury Estate, at about 5pm on Wednesday (September 26).
They were both taken to a south London hospital where Mr Chambers died a short time later.
The other man, aged 18, was treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of Mr Chambers death as a single stab wound to the heart.
Detectives are linking the incident to an earlier one on the same day, when at 4.50pm police were called to Old Kent Road, following reports of a 20-year-old man having been stabbed.
Officers and the ambulance service attended and the man was taken to a south London hospital and he also been discharged.
An incident room is open at Sutton under Detective Chief Inspector Amanda Hargreaves from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC).
Anyone with information is urged to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4155 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
A 20-year-old man, two 21-year-old men and a 24-year-old man who were arrested in connection with the investigation have been bailed until early October pending further enquiries.
Police arrested a third 21-year-old man today (September 29) and he remains in custody at a south London police station.
