A MAN will stand for trial accused of killing a teenage cyclist in Deptford in a suspected hit-and-run.

Olatunji Johnson Adeyanju, known as TJ, died after being hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Deptford Church Street on March 23.

Barry Normah, 28, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Olatunji was a former pupil of Addey and Stanhope secondary school where he was deputy head boy and described as an "outstanding" pupil by headteacher Ann Potter.

Normah will stand for trial at Woolwich Crown Court on October 2.
