Police appeal: CCTV images of two people police would like to speak to in connection with racially aggravated incident
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Mini blocked a bus’s path in Greenwich and two people hurled racist insults at the bus driver.
Two passengers of a yellow Mini pulled in front of the 286 bus before boarding it using the vehicle’s emergency door button and reportedly racially abusing the driver on August 3.
The bus driver was trying to pull out of a stop by the East Greenwich Library in Woolwich Road, travelling between Greenwich towards Westcombe Park, when the incident took place.
CCTV images show a man and a woman who police would like to speak to in connection with the racially aggravated incident.
Officer in the case DC Celina Todd said: "We are keen to speak to the two people pictured in the CCTV images in relation to this incident.
"If you know who they are, please contact us on 020 8284 9554. All information will be treated confidentially."
Anyone wishing to give information anonymously can ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
