Police were called to Church Road at 8:30am this morning. Police were called to Church Road at 8:30am this morning.

POLICE were called to reports of a robbery in Hartley this morning (September 26).

Officers were called to Church Road shortly after 8:30am when a man in his 40s was challenged by someone from behind as he left his house.

The victim, who was not injured, is currently giving a statement to police officers although it is not thought anything was taken during the attempted robbery.

Church Road was closed for nearly two hours following the incident – it re-opened in both directions at 10:35am.
