Delays on A2 Westbound beyond the A2018 after accident

THERE are delays on the A2 Westbound up to and beyond the A2018 (Dartford Heath).

The queues are the result of a motorcyclist who came off his bike on the A2. No other vehicle was involved.

One lane was closed but reopened at 8:50am.

Two ambulance crews were sent to the scene and they treated the 29-year-old man. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The motorcyclist is being treated for a sprained ankle and a shoulder injury.

Motorists are warned to expect delays.

A2 between Kidbrooke and Falconwood has become a complete mess since the lights at Kidbrooke were reprogrammed for the Olympics. Hardly a day seems to go by without an accident and the tailbacks are worse than ever before. I hope the lights get sorted out soon.

Oh tell me about it. THere is no reason for the reprogrammed lights now. We have suffered enough. Please please please let's get back to normal.
