Kent Police crackdown on theft in Gravesend
KENT Police has been carrying out a number of initiatives in Gravesend to crackdown on theft and reduce crime.
Police community support officers have been patrolling the town centre speaking to members of the public, whilst circulating a number of images of people officers want to identify who may be able to help with a number of ongoing investigations - including shoplifting, fraud and public order.
Officers were also joined by other agencies including Trading Standards and licensing officers.
Licensing checks took place at a number of premises to ensure everything was being carried out in accordance with regulations and license conditions.
Gravesham neighbourhood Inspector Henry Sandhu said: "Seeing officers on the streets in our town centre sends a clear message, we will not tolerate theft, shoplifting or any crime.
"Working with other agencies including Gravesend Council, we will ensure the area is a safe place for all members of our community."
