New Cross teen appears in court over Kevin Ssali murder in Lee

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy from New Cross has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of murdering Kevin Ssali who was stabbed following a row on a bus.


Kevin, 14, from South Norwood, died following the attack in Burnt Ash Road, Lee, on September 15.


The Crown Woods pupil was taken to hospital by ambulance but died a short while later.


A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.


Yesterday (September 20) a teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the Old Bailey charged with Kevin's murder.
 

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lewisham Youth Court on September 27.
