New Cross teen in court over murder of Kevin Ssali in Lee

A NEW Cross teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of schoolboy Kevin Ssali in Lee.

Kevin, 14, of South Norwood, had been missing from home since July.

He was stabbed shortly after he got off a 202 bus in Burnt Ash Road, Lee, on Saturday evening.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.

A 17-year-old boy from New Cross who has been charged with Kevin's murder, appeared at Bromley Youth Court this morning.

He was remanded in custody to appear at The Old Bailey on September 20.

Two 15-year-olds have been bailed to return to a south London police station at a later date.
