Bexleyheath pensioner Trevor Franklin on trial over sex assault of 14-year-old girl

THE TRIAL of a pensioner who denies sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl started yesterday (September 17).
Trevor Franklin, 83, of Mayplace Road East, in Bexleyheath, is charged with three counts of sexual assault on a female at his home address.
It is alleged Franklin touched the teenager with sexual intent between June 2010 and February 2011.
Franklin is also pleading not guilty to a separate charge of assault on a girl under the age of 13 during 2008.
The trial is set to continue today (September 18).
