Ambulance car crashes in Bexleyheath on way to emergency
A LONDON Ambulance Service fast response car was involved in an accident in Bexleyheath while on its way to an emergency last night (September 16).
It was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra at the junction of Erith Road and Mayplace Road at about 9pm.
The Vauxhall Astra then hit a set of traffic lights before coming to a stop.
Firefighters were called to the scene but did not need to cut anyone out of either of the vehicles.
Ambulance staff treated the Astra’s driver, believed to be a 21-year-old man, for minor injuries and took him to hospital.
Another fast response car and an ambulance was sent to the original patient, reported to be a woman in her 90s who had taken unwell.
She was treated and taken to hospital.
