5:41pm Sunday 16th September 2012 in News By Robert Fisk
Kevin Ssali was stabbed as he got off the 202 bus in Lee last night
THE teenager who was stabbed to death in Lee last night has been named by police as Kevin Ssali.
Kevin was attacked as he got off the 202 bus in Burnt Ash Road at about 9.45pm yesterday (September 15).
The 14-year-old, of Whitmore Road, South Norwood, was taken to hospital suffering from stab injuries, where he later died.
A post-mortem examination is set to take place at Greenwich Mortuary at 12.30pm tomorrow.
Officers are trying to establish whether there was some kind of argument on board the bus as it travelled towards its destination of The Royal Standard in Charlton.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Dunne, from the Met’s homicide and serious crime command, is leading the investigation.
He said: "I am appealing for anyone who travelled on the route 202 bus on its way through the Lee area just before 9.45pm on Saturday night to speak to my officers.
“Did you witness an altercation or argument involving a group of male youths?
"I would also like to speak to anyone who was in Burnt Ash Road, where the victim got off the bus.
“I need to know what the series of events were which culminated in a 14-year-old boy losing his life."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8721 4906 or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Three youths, all believed to be aged in their mid to late teens, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They remain in custody at a south London police station.

Most likely this boy was in the wrong area and stabbed for it.So many kids have this terroritory crap going on,postcodes etc.
Lets get this right and correct all this crap by letting them know its not the kids in charge its the law abiding adults !!
Bring in more stop and search, harsher penalties and stop making excuses for it all the time.Ive being stopped and searched loads of times its no big deal because i dont carry knives, weapons or drugs.Only those with something to hide have a problem with it.
Drop the attitude next time you are stopped by the police and see the difference it makes.
So many teenagers think aggression and fighting is how the world works, well it doesnt.Only the other day i had some **** squaring off to me and swinging his belt around because i challenged his behaviour which was totally wrong.
.
Stop living in fear ,grow a pair and get on with living properly as a part of society not some gansta derived subculture that gets you nowhere long term.
"You get me fam ?"

my son is 14, i stop him doing so much, he tells me, mum i am not a baby !! i reply i know, i trust you, its the others i can not trust.. a few years back, a friend's young son was stabbed, thats another reason i am too protective, because it happens to people you know, its not just chit-chat you hear on the news... they're real people that belong to real families,,,

No ones hurting, no ones weeping.
Mum's getting ready to go to work, she receives a text,
no one saw what was coming next.
Panic attack "Kevin's been stabbed" begins to sob, tells my Dad,
runs to my room shakes me awake. It's 6 in the morning Mum can't it wait"? "My baby Kevin!" "My babys gone".
From that point onwards I knew something was wrong...
Heres me thinking his life was at stake, situations worse, Kevs life was someones to take. I'm sitting there praying it's a mistake..

Kevin had it rough.. That's why he was cocky, rude, acting all tough.
The time had come for him to meet his maker. R.I.P Baby cuz, I'll see you later.... R.I.P Kevin.
Read and pass this on knife crime needs to stop this boy was 14 with his life ahead of him instead he has become yet another very young victim. We need to educate children, we need tougher laws, this boy that killed him will probably get an 8 year sentence, a tougher sentence than that should be given for just carrying a knife.... This child could have easily been a family member or a friend of your's my son knew him and of him he said he was nice and funny. If something is not done this will be the future for our children in fact wake up as it already is...
FIGHT KNIFE CRIME NOW!!!
