Baby given bottle of 'bleach' by woman in Eltham High Street McDonald's
PARENTS in Eltham are being warned by police after an 11-month-old baby boy was given a bottle believed to contain bleach by a woman in McDonald's.
Police took to Twitter this afternoon to issue the warning, after the baby boy was handed the bottle in the Eltham High Street branch.
It is believed the boy drank some of the liquid before vomiting it back up.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich at around 12.40pm for observation where he remains in a stable condition.
At this stage no other children are believed to have been affected.
The woman is described by police as a heavily-built white female in her 50s with grey hair.
She was wearing black trousers, black trainers, a long multi-coloured top and a black jacket with white chevron type markings. She also carried a maroon bag.
Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 0208 284 9543 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
