Bexley police in London-wide operation targeting drug dealers
11:38am Thursday 13th September 2012 in News By Tim MacFarlan, Bexley and north Kent reporter
Bexley Borough Commander Victor Olisa
OFFICERS in Bexley are gearing up to take part in a new Met offensive against street level drug dealers.
Operation Hawk aims to tackle distributors using local community intelligence and the public is being encouraged to come forward with information on Bexley dealers.
Borough commander Chief Superintendent Victor Olisa pledged: "You make the call, we’ll make it stop.
"Drug dealing damages communities. It generates crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.
"Community intelligence passed to us will be dealt with as quickly as possible and carefully assessed before, and if, any action is taken.
"We will then tell communities what action we have taken to address these issues."
