Comedienne Jo Brand joins Sydenham St Christopher's Hospice charity walkers

COMEDIAN Jo Brand is joining hundreds on a midnight charity walk to raise money for Sydenham's St Christopher's Hospice.

Each year volunteers walk five miles through the night which will end at the hospice.

Last year the fundraising event for St Christopher’s Hospice raised £30,000 for its Candle Project, which provides support to children and young people who have lost someone close to them.

Community fundraiser, Amy Hooper, said: "We are really excited about this year's walk because we are hoping to raise £40,000.

"This will allow Candle Project to carry out their work in south-east London."
Organisers are hoping to sign up 400 volunteers for the walk, which starts at 11pm on October 13.
