A TEENAGE motorcylist crashed into a police car in Welling earlier this afternoon.
Welling High Street was cordoned off after the bike had earlier failed to stop for police.
A police spokeswoman said: "At approximately 1pm today a motorcycle was in collision with a marked police car after failing to stop in Upper Wickham Lane, Welling.
"No officers were injured.
"London Ambulance Service were called and the rider, a 17-year-old male, was taken to a south London hospital with a minor leg injury.
"He was later discharged and taken to a south London police station where he was arrested."
In a further development the rider has now been charged.
A police spokeswoman said: "A 17-year-old youth of no fixed abode, was charged on September 5 with dangerous driving, failure to stop, driving without insurance and not in accordance with licence.
"He will appear at Bexley youth court in mid-September."
