Bexley Council want opinions on parking changes
11:58am Wednesday 5th September 2012 in News By Jim Palmer
BEXLEY Council wants your views on parking so it can draw up a strategy which reflects the “economic challenges around our town centres and other key employment locations, and also in support of new opportunities”.
The Council is seeking opinions on who should provide parking, where and how, and has planned five consultation events.
Cabinet member for environment and public realm, Councillor Gareth Bacon said: “Understandably, people feel strongly about parking issues and we are keen to have an informed public debate about what can be difficult and complex matters. I would urge residents and businesses to get involved in this important consultation, and help us shape the future of parking in Bexley.”
The consultation runs from Monday (September 10) until Friday, November 30.
Information is available at Bexley.gov.uk/parkingreview.
You can give feedback at surveymonkey.com/s/parkingreview or by e-mailing transportationplanning@bexley.gov.uk.
Pick up a questionnaire and the consultation documents at libraries, council offices, consultation events or by request. They should be posted to London Borough of Bexley Strategic Planning and Transport, Hill View, Hill View Drive, Welling, Kent DA16 3RY
The consultation events:
Friday, September 21, and Saturday, September 22, 10am to 4pm: Broadway Shopping Centre, Bexleyheath
Wednesday, October 3, 10am to 4pm: 9-11 High Street, Sidcup
Wednesday, October 17, 10am to 4pm: Sainsbury’s Supermarket, Crayford
Friday, November 2, 10am to 4pm: Erith Riverside Shopping Centre, Erith
Monday 12 November, 10am to 4pm: Morrisons, Welling

If the forthcoming changes are just half as bad as what Conways did to Orpington High St Bexleyheath will become an anti-car ghost town. It cost £2.2M and has fallen apart in less than 2 years. Go and see the quality of what you are about to receive!
