FAMILIES enjoyed a dog show, sweet stalls and meeting reptiles at a Sidcup care home's garden fete.

Around 250 people attended the event at Sunrise Senior Living of Frognal, in Frognal Avenue.

Guests enjoyed a hog roast, ice cream and beer while youngsters had their faces painted by Girl Guides.

There were a variety of information and food stalls on offer as well as demonstrations by a line dancing group and birds of prey.

Mayor of Bexley Councillor Alan Downing and members of the British Heart Foundation and Parkinson’s UK attended the event.

General manager of the home, Samantha King, said: "The fete was a huge success and we were delighted so many people were able to attend.

"It was a pleasure to welcome Mayor Downing to our Frognal community and we would like to thank everybody who celebrated with us for making the afternoon so special."
