Southeastern warn passengers to avoid London Bridge station
SOUTHEASTERN is reminding passengers to avoid London Bridge station wherever possible during the Olympic Games period as the station is expected to be exceptionally busy with queuing systems in
place.
Additionally, tomorrow (Monday 30 July) Southeastern and First Capital Connect platforms 1 to 6 will be exit-only in the evening from 6pm to 10pm as large crowds are expected following the
equestrian event at Greenwich Park.
A Southeastern spokesman said: “London Bridge station will be extremely busy throughout the entire Games period.
"Tomorrow 50,000 spectators at Greenwich Park will combine with our regular passengers travelling to and from London for work.
"Because of this, London Bridge will be exit-only in the evening between the hours of 6pm and 10pm.
"Passengers travelling home from London in the evening will not be able to enter the station during these hours; they should board services from stations such as Charing Cross, Canon Street, Victoria or Blackfriars.”
Southeastern is also reminding passengers that only compact folded bicycles can be carried on its services during the Olympic and Paralympic Games period.
