Keep Bexley's streets clear during Olympic torch relay Keep Bexley's streets clear during Olympic torch relay

BEXLEY Council is asking people who live along the Olympic torch relay route to park away from the area.

Visitors who are planning to give support along the way are also reminded to keep the streets clear of vehicles.

The flame is due to travel eight miles of the borough's roads next Sunday (July 22).

There will be some parking restrictions in place on the day, between 10am and 8pm, to ensure the flame convoy can pass along the streets easily and so people can see it clearly.

Loading and waiting will be prohibited in 16 roads in Erith, Northumberland Heath, Bexleyheath, Welling, Bexley and Sidcup.
