AFC Wimbledon reacted with mixed emotions to Monday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw away to Exeter City.

Dons manager Dave Anderson and chairman Erik Sam-uelson have described the tie as the biggest in the club's history but also expressed regret at the difficulty of the tie.

While they may have been handed a glamour fixture at one of the big Conference clubs, odds are now stacked heavily against the Dons' chances of making the first round proper for the first time.

Saturday's deserved 2-1 win over Evesham United - thanks to goals from Byron Bubb and substitute Paul Barnes - put AFC Wimbledon one win away from that landmark, and a chance of playing MK Dons in a competitive match.

Anderson said: "The main thing you are looking for from a cup draw is can we make it to the next round?

"Ideally, you want the easiest draw possible but, if you are going to get a difficult draw, then you want it to be against one of the big boys.

"I would say Exeter City away is one of the hardest draws we could have got but, on a positive note, it will be the biggest game the club has played to date."

Samuelson announced that the club would be organising a fleet of coaches to take supporters to the West Country.

He also predicted supporters would heavily over-subscribe the ticket allocation of 1,260.

"I think people will be surprised at how many fans we take to this game," he said.

"A few supporters I spoke to after the pre-season match at FC United of Manchester told me how much they had missed the big away games, and this is really the first proper trip the club has had since it was formed."

Both manager and chairman also refused to write off the Dons' chances of making it through to the next round, citing Exeter's remarkable result at Old Trafford in the FA Cup two seasons ago.

"Exeter's draw at Manchester United showed what this competition is all about - you just never know," said Anderson.

"We know it is going to be hard to get a result, but we will enjoy being the underdogs for a change and should be more relaxed than normal."

The Dons needed an 84th minute winner from striker Roscoe D'Sane to beat Leyton 1-0 in the Ryman Premier Division at Kingsmeadow on Tuesday night.

Anderson's men will go for their third home win in a week when they take on Dunstable Town in the FA Trophy first qualifying round this Saturday. Richard Butler (groin injury) is the only player missing for the Dons.
