A GRAND total of £358 was raised for the Freddie Farmer Foundation during the production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Round and Round the garden performed by the Priory Players at the Progress Hall, Eltham, in June (14-16).

Funds were raised through a raffle, and the grand draw was drawn on Saturday, June 16, by the Mayor and Mayoress of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

“The fundraising was for a very worthy and deserving cause,” said Terry Wheeler from the amateur dramatic company. “Once it succeeds, the benefits will not only help little Freddie Farmer but others like him throughout the South East.”

The Freddie Farmer Foundation, a registered charity, was formed one year ago to raise funds to set up a specialised physiotherapy centre in South-East London for children and young people with cerebral palsy and serious mobility problems. Freddie himself was born at 28 weeks with cerebral palsy, weighing just 2lb 12oz. FIND OUT MORE www.freddiefarmerfoundation.org.uk
