PUPILS at a Downham school were attacked yesterday after at least two males broke in to the building.

Police were alerted to an assault at Haberdashers’ Aske's Knights Academy in Launcelot Road at 2.20pm.

No children were seriously injured but one male has been arrested on suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm and is in custody following the attack.

A police spokesman said: “At this early stage it appears at least two males have entered the school and assaulted a number of pupils - no serious injuries reported and the London Ambulance Service were not called.”

Police are currently investigating the incident.
