A VAN driver stopped for having no insurance has been arrested after police discovered a cannabis farm at his home.
Bromley Police stopped the white transit van on Bromley Road, Shortlands, at 10pm yesterday evening (June 19) after it flagged up as having no insurance.
During a search of the van, officers discovered cannabis hidden throughout the vehicle. A later search of the man’s home uncovered a cannabis factory, where around 150 plants were growing.
A 37-year-old man from Croydon was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and driving without insurance.
The man remains in police custody and the vehicle has been impounded.
