A BUILDING surveyor is set to inspect a Lewisham kebab shop today (June 20) to see if yesterday’s fire caused any structural damage.
Firefighters returned to the premises at the junction of Belmont Hill and Lee High Road during the night and will meet the inspector there today.
It is believed police officers were at the scene throughout the night.
Around 30 firefighters from Lee Green, Greenwich, Lewisham and Forest Hill fire stations battled the blaze yesterday afternoon.
Half of the ground floor was alight and the crews managed to get the fire under control by about 3pm, around three hours after they were first called to the scene.
