David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, paid a visit to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice’s Bexleyheath shop on May 18 as part of the Choose Charity Shops campaign week (May 14-19).

Choose Charity Shops is a nationwide campaign, to encourage more people to donate directly to charity shops. To show his support for the campaign, David Evennett took a donation bag which included books and DVDs.

Mr Evennett met with the Deputy Store Manager, Jean Lyons, Deputy Retail Manager Mandy Brinkhurst, and Manager of the Pickford Lane store Trevor Jones to discuss the Hospice’s retail operations and donations. He was also taken upstairs to meet with volunteers in their sorting room.
