A COLLEGE in Bexley has organised a borough wide project to encourage people to try a range of learning activities.
The Adult Education College in Brampton Road, Bexleyheath put on a variety of courses for those who would not usually join a further education course.
A total of 38 courses were run for students, with subjects as diverse as football, coaching, floristry, Zumba and book-keeping.
At the end of each course the college careers guidance advisors provided information on future courses, training and job seeking. Strategic manager of the curriculum at the college, Rosie Eaglen said: "This project, called Kick Start, has been a great success.
“It has seen more than 250 people take up courses they previously may not have considered.
“It has also set the foundation for partner organisations to move forward and develop coordinated partnership activities that could have a long-term benefits for individuals and communities."
