SHOPPERS picking up bargains also picked up information about dementia when they went to a shopping centre.

At the stall in The Glades, High Street, Bromley, they could speak to memory nurses, doctors, Bromley Council, and other groups about what help is available to help them plan for the future.

They also learned about what action they can take to cope with the condition.

Portfolio holder for social care Councillor Robert Evans said: “This information session was one way we are raising understanding about dementia with our residents and hopefully dispelling some myths and misconceptions.”

The session was part of Dementia Awareness week which ran until Sunday (May 27).
