TRAVELLERS who were camped at Keston Common have left their site a week earlier than they originally planned.
The Rainbow Family members had gathered near the ponds to celebrate Beltane, which is the traditional start of summer.
They were planning to remain on the land until ‘dark moon’ on May 21, where the moon is hardly visible in the night sky.
Instead they left the location at around 11.30am on Monday (May 14) after a fire closing ceremony.
The Family is a worldwide spiritual movement and its members are committed to a non-violent spiritual existence.
