GREEN gym gardeners will be showing off a year’s work when they open the gates to a transformed garden.
Since May last years the volunteers have been working in Winsford Gardens, Penge, to turn the run down park into a community garden and nature reserve.
Thanks to their work it now has wildflower meadows, an orchard, vegetable beds and wildlife habitats.
Everyone is welcome to look round the garden, off Garden Road, and children can join in with making bird feeders and bug hotels.
The site is being opened on June 9 between 11am and 4.30pm in conjunction with the nationwide Open Garden Squares Weekend.
