PREPARATIONS are underway to make sure it's "business as usual" for Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) during the Olympics.
KFRS has been working closely with Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance, Kent County Council, and local councils.
It is also working closely with other fire and rescue services and national groups including the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games.
KFRS director of service delivery, Steve Griffiths, said: "We are confident that every eventuality has been prepared for and we will be able to respond when we are needed but there is no doubt that the community should also be prepared and we call upon Kent 's residents, businesses and visitors, to ensure they take steps to prevent fire so we can all support a safe London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games."
