BUDDING tennis stars have collected an award on behalf of their club presented by the Mayor of Gravesham.
Youngsters from Gravesham Tennis Club accepted the Kent Tennis Club of the Year award from Councillor Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi outside the civic offices in Windmill Street.
They were then given a tour of the mayor’s parlour.
Coach Michel Suleau and business development manager for the club in Donald Biggs Drive, Roy Dinnis, also attended.
Mr Dinnis said: "It’s brilliant to be recognised.
"It’s well deserved for all the coaches and the captains who get our teams performing well.
"We’re pleased our competition programmes have been acknowledged and hope this will give us the profile for people to pay more attention in what we have to offer."
