GREENWICH Conservatives have elected themselves a new deputy leader.
Councillor Alex Wilson has won an internal election to take the post in the Greenwich opposition party.
Cllr Wilson said he was delighted and believes he has a lot to bring to the role, saying: "I like to think I am well known for doing what I say I’m going to do."
He said he would continue to promote investment and regeneration throughout the borough.
The change is expected to come into effect at the council AGM later this month when he will replace current deputy Councillor Nigel Fletcher.
