MOTORISTS should expect long delays on the M25 around the Darenth Interchange following an earlier closure of the road.
The motorway was shut in both directions at junction 2 for around 30 minutes this morning (May 2) following a multi-vehicle crash at around 8:30am.
Police shut the road while the air ambulance landed at the scene at approximately 8:45am.
Eye-witness reports suggest the crash was on the clockwise slip road travelling towards the A2 and involved at least one lorry and a van.
Motorists were reportedly pulling over in the middle of the slip lane to call the emergency services.
A diversion was temporarily in place diverting clockwise traffic off the motorway at junction 1B and through Dartford before re-joining at the Swanley Interchange, junction 3.
Traffic is currently queuing clockwise from junction 30 at Lakeside and anti-clockwise from junction 3.
