A YOUNG Charlton supporter who died is being remembered with a charity walk at The Valley.
The annual event is held in memory of Tom Warren, a cerebal palsy sufferer, who passed away in 2008, aged 10.
The walk raises money for the Charlton Park Riding for the Disabled Association, which provides horse riding sessions and activities for children with disabilities. It was one of Tom’s favourite places.
Donations raised from last year provided more than half of the yearly income for the charity, enabling it to open 5 days a week.
Carol Kendall, a trustee and instructor at the charity said “I feel the Charlton Park RDA is once again shining and successful. Over the last year we have turned it back into the proud successful group it was.”
The walk will take place on June 24. Donations to the charity can be made at justgiving.com/walkfortom.
