YOUNGSTERS had a hands on experience when a farm came to visit for the day.

Children at Tubbenden Nursery in Sandy Bury, Orpington, enjoyed a visit from Nepicar Farm, which is based in Wrotham, Kent.

The farm brought a variety of animals for the children to meet, including sheep, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and lambs.

Around 24 three and four year olds had the chance to handle the animals and learn about how to look after them.

Nursery manager Katherine Munro said: “The children had an exciting day when Nepicar Farm came to visit. There were wonderful opportunities to handle a variety of animals.

“The children particularly enjoyed stroking the baby lambs. All the children and staff really loved it.”
