Crimewatch appeal to catch Chislehurst rapist

Call the police if you recognise the man in the e-fit Call the police if you recognise the man in the e-fit

OFFICERS are hoping a television appeal tonight (May 1) will help them find the man who raped a girl in Chislehurst.

The 15-year-old was walking home along Chislehurst Road between midnight and 1am on 10 July last year when she was approached by the suspect who asked for directions to Sundridge Park.

She walked on but shortly afterwards, in Prince Imperial Road at the junction with Wilderness Road, the girl heard someone approach her from behind.

The suspect grabbed her and dragged her into some bushes where she was raped.

He is described as being white man in his 20s, around 6ft tall, with blond collar length hair and a parting.

He was wearing a long-sleeved plain navy blue top and beige chinos and had a London accent.

He was driving what is believed to be a dark blue Chevrolet Cruze saloon car.

A full DNA profile has been obtained.

Police want to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit or who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the police on 020 8721 4670 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
