OPENING up a charity shop to a worldwide audience has seen it net a big profit to help it improve youngsters’ lives.
Shoppers at the 2gether shop in Chislehurst can pick up bargains with all proceeds going to fund the work of Chislehurst Youth for Christ.
But it is not just restricted to the town’s High Street after one of its workers Chris Guzer came up with the idea of selling some of the more valuable items on the online auction site Ebay.
Since they started the internet venture they have sold around 1,000 items and made £20,000.
Shop manager Clare Herriot said: “On Ebay we are reaching people worldwide.
“If you get an interesting item you might not find a collector in Chislehurst but you could get one in Italy or Australia.”
