A BOOK looking back at the history of a park that overlaps Petts Wood and Bickley has been published.
Written by Jennie Randall, the book entitled Jubilee Country Park - Its History and Heritage, has been released to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The park was given its current name in commemoration of Her Majesty's Silver Jubilee.
The book follows eight years of extensive research by Mrs Randall into the history of the park and takes the reader on a journey through time from the Bronze Age to present day.
All profits from the sale go towards the work of the Friends of Jubilee Country Park, which Mrs Randall is chairman of.
The book, costing £5, is available now from Petts Wood Library, Frankswood Avenue, Petts Wood.
