A DARTFORD man has appeared in court accused of possessing a stash of child porn videos.
John Anthony Newton, 36, of Hardy Avenue, is charged with six counts of making indecent photographs of children between September 2009 and August 2011.
His home was raided by police on August 3 who seized computers and other digital media.
Newton is accused of having 22 movies rated at level four and five – the two most serious categories – 43 movies at level one to three and 87 still images at levels one to four.
Dartford magistrates opted to send the case to crown court and Newton was granted conditional bail to return to the same court for a committal hearing on June 25.
John Newton was found not guilty of all six charges when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on October 9.
