THE judging panel has been confirmed for this year's Rob Knox Film Festival.

Former Welling schoolboy turned Hollywood writer and producer, Ben Trebilcook, will be a judge.

He has written on Mission Impossible 3 and Die Hard 4 and is now producing a martial arts movie called Knockout.

Mr Trebilcook will be joined by David Anderson, a director from Sidcup, who was invited to join the panel after previously winning awards at the festival.

Other judges are people who have been involved in the filmmaking club for youngsters, Pointless Taxi Productions.

These include Graham Cole who played PC Tony Stamp in The Bill and Danny Eycott, from Erith, who has made short films and music videos.

They are joined by writer, actor and director, Darren Rappier, who regularly writes for the BBC's Doctors.

Festival director, Michael Wearing, said: "We are really grateful to all the judges who give up their time to view so many films.

"The standard this year is really high, making their task even more difficult than in previous years."

The festival, now in its fourth year, was set up in memory of 18-year-old Harry Potter actor Rob Knox, who was murdered in Sidcup in 2008.

An awards evening will take place on June 6 from 6pm at Cineworld, Bexleyheath.
