LONDON mayoral candidate Brian Paddick dropped into Greenwich last week to meet the area's voters.
Accompanied by his Lib Dem team, including John Russell, who is running to be Lewisham and Greenwich's London Assembly member, Mr Paddick visited the Cutty Sark along with Greenwich Park.
He used the occasion to call for the Olympics legacy to benefit the people of the capital He said: "As mayor I will make sure that the legacy the Olympics leaves is one of local jobs and training, real affordable homes and community use of the venues.
"And I want there to be a sporting legacy too. Let’s establish a London Games so athletes can compete, borough against borough, and keep the Olympic spirit alive for years to come."
