A BEXLEYHEATH business has received a welcome boost from Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.

The dragon created Small Business Sunday on Twitter in October 2010, asking upcoming businesses to tweet him about their firm in 140 characters.

From the hundreds of messages he receives, he re-tweets the ones he finds most inspiring to his 237,000 followers.

Activity supplier Xtreme Vortex, based in Littleheath Road, was one of the companies to catch the eye of the entrepreneur on the social networking website.

Business co-founder Andy Green said: “We were delighted Theo noticed our business, it really is a fantastic feeling.

“Exposure to so many people is brilliant for any small business, getting your name and message out there is so important.”

Xtreme Vortex owners Andy and Donna Green were invited to meet Mr Paphitis and other Small Business Sunday winners at an event held in Birmingham last month.
