COUPLES and businesses have been invited to join Bromley Council in celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

To mark the occasion on May 15, couples who are this year commemorating their Diamond wedding anniversary and businesses with 60 years or more trading in the borough will get the chance to join the party.

The day will see the Queen make her first visit to Bromley since 1986 with a host of British fashion exhibits from the last six decades being displayed as well as live music and entertainment.

Bromley Council's portfolio holder for renewal and recreation Councillor Peter Morgan said: "2012 is a very exciting year for Bromley and we look forward to making it a memorable one with our special jubilee celebrations."

Any couples or businesses that match the criteria and would like to be involved please contact Kay Coulton, Cultural Business Development Officer on 020 8461 7539 or email kay.coulton@bromley.gov.uk.
