DARTFORD manager Tony Burman has conceded the Conference South title looks to be Woking’s despite his side’s 2-1 win at Bromley.

Woking only need three points from their final three games to be crowned champions and Burman is now hoping if as expected Darts do miss out on automatic promotion, it doesn't affect their play-off chances.

“It’s looking like Woking have won, they only need three points from their next game and that’s fine,” admitted Burman.

“We’ve ended up giving them a run for their money and no-one can deny us that.

“We’ve had our chances when Woking have slipped up a couple of times but we haven’t punished them for that.

“We have to be very careful and must not be too disappointed if we don't gain automatic promotion.

“We will get the players ready for the play-off situation and won't take anything for granted.

“It will be a completely new competition starting on May 2.

“What we achieved this season is excellent.

“We have now gone over 80 points and would have taken that before the season started.”

Dartford took the lead through Danny Harris on 22 minutes when the front man capitalised on a Moses Swaibu slip for a free run on goal to slot past Bromley keeper Joe Welch.

The Darts doubled their advantage four minutes later thanks to an unchallenged Luke Williams header from a free-kick to heap further misery on the Lillies, who did manage to snatch a goal back through Michael Malcolm’s low driven free-kick in the second half.

While the home side piled on the pressure late on and were denied an equaliser by a string of fine stops by Louis Wells, the Darts boss was disappointed Bromley were allowed the opportunity to get back into the game.

“Sloppy play has led to them getting a free-kick and it has dipped under our keeper and then that allowed them to come and have a go at us,” added Burman.

“The surface did have a bit to play with their goal, the surface was dreadful but I think we adapted to it better than Bromley did and we should have finished the game before they scored.

“It does get a bit frantic and a bit hectic but when you're down there like Bromley are some things sometimes don’t go for you and our goalkeeper pulled off a really good save at the death.

“I’m disappointed because that would have been a clean sheet today and our third in a row but we felt we were a little sloppy in given them possession and them giving them the free-kick.

“The game should have been over before they got their goal.”
