Kent Police is appealing for information after 14-year-old boy was punched in the chest and had his BlackBerry mobile phone stolen.

The incident took place at around 9.30pm on April 1 in West Hill, Dartford, at the junction with an alley leading to Trinity Gardens.

The teenage victim was on his way home from Dartford train station when he was approached by the suspect who asked him for some spare change before patting his jacket and jeans down.

He then hit the victim in the chest, pushed him against a wall and took the phone out of the victim's pocket before threatening him.

He walked off in the direction off the junction with Highfield Road.

The suspect is described as black, 5ft 6ins tall, aged around 16 or 17 and wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey hooded top with blue diagonal writing.

He had a shaved head and was of medium build.

Detective Constable Chris Mason said: 'We are extremely keen to talk to anyone who may have information regarding this robbery, which was very upsetting for the teenage victim."
