A LETTER of apology will be sent out after householders received a Boris Johnson leaflet along with a council environment newsletter.
The Labour MP for Lewisham West and Penge Jim Dowd has referred the matter to Bromley Council’s chief internal auditor after being contacted by constituents.
He says he will refer it to the Audit Commission if necessary.
But the leader of the Conservatives on the council Councillor Stephen Carr says it was due to a simple error by the distribution company which sent out the leaflets.
He said: “The Environment Matters is distributed on an exclusivity agreement.
“The distribution company has taken an agreement with the other leaflets on the same day and that’s how this mistake happened.”
