STAFF at Bexleyheath's NatWest bank have raised £3,000 for a hospice by holding a black tie ball.

The event took place at the Marriott Hotel, in Broadway, and included a disco, prize draw, music and a magician.

Cash raised was donated to Greenwich and Bexleyheath community hospice, which was unveiled as the charity partner of the bank last year.

NatWest's CEO covering Bexleyheath, Lesley Dillon, said: "The charity is one that everyone in my team is delighted to be supporting.

"It offers such an important care role for the local community and at NatWest we have promised to our customers that we will provide support to our areas beyond our helpful banking promise."
