Slimming World group raises £650 for charity
A SLIMMING World group has raised £650 for charity by completing a sponsored walk.
Vikki Walsh, who runs the group in Erith Sports Centre, organised for her members to tackle a 4.5mile walk to get slimmer for summer while raising cash for Howbury Tumblers Parent, Carer Toddler Group.
The Tumblers offer a safe and supervised, fun and friendly, indoor and outdoor play area for youngsters.
Mrs Walsh said: "We encouraged people to get sponsored because we know that commitment and motivation are super-boosted once you go public with your intentions."
The Erith Slimming World group meets every Tuesday at 5.30pm or 7.30pm at Erith Sports Centre, in Avenue Road.
